Why Your Hoopty is Way Better than a Flying Car by William Buthod

Will Buthod (http://twitter.com/wbuthod) [NB: it's pronounced "byoo-toe"; I blame the French] is an information junkie and IT infrastructure & service monitoring technologist in the employ of an LA-based insurance company, and is two-thirds (by weight) of his team's Oklahoma-based staff.

He's a ham radio operator, and once linked his computer to another computer in Iowa, using a three-watt transmitter and the Russian space station, MIR. That's small potatoes nowadays, but he's still pretty proud of it.

He is not the handsome and talented, tri-lingual musician and composer, William Buthod, but as you can deduce by the surname, the two are related.

His wife claims common ancestry with Amelia Earhart and can drive like a Tasmanian devil, hence his antipathy to flying cars.
