Twinkie Cars, Cupcake Mobiles & the Rise of Hackerspaces

- Nick Britsky & Russ Wolfe

While half the fun is getting there, the other half is building your transportation. One of i3 Detroit's first projects was a giant ride-able bristle bot and it has been succeeded by an electronic cupcake mobile, gas powered twinkie and soon to be podcast trailer. Russ & Nick will explain that hackerspaces are on the rise and more alternatives in transportation are on the horizon.

Bio:

Nick Britsky & Russ Wolfe are 2 of the founding members of i3 Detroit. The group has grown from 10 people in a coffee shop to over 50 members in a 8,000 sq/ft not-for-profit, community workshop. While they both maintain full-time jobs, they find added excitement from building unique projects together and creating ideas for a future Detroit.
