Next Generation Monitoring of Environmental and Ecological Data, Deborah McGuinness by Deborah McGuinness

Dr. Deborah McGuinness is a leading expert in knowledge representation and reasoning languages and systems and has worked in ontology creation and evolution environments for over 25 years. Deborah is well known for her work applying semantic technologies to work in earth and space science informatics and has numerous virtual observatory and semantically-enabled science data integration efforts. In this talk, Deborah will discuss the future of semantically-enabled monitoring systems and will show a research prototype concerning water quality in the United States.
